Junkenomics

This is where the serious Junk meets the numbers.

On this page, you’ll find everything you need to know about Junkcoin’s vital stats.

Because even in the Junkyard, numbers matter. Sort of.

About Mining

Main metrics:

1-minute block target

Difficulty retargets once per day.

To encourage early adoption, the coins per block were higher for the first 4 days:

  • 1st day: 500 coins per block
  • 2nd day: 200 coins per block
  • 3rd and 4th days: 100 coins per block

Starting on the 5th day, the reward dropped to 50 coins per block.

Halving:

Halving will occur every two years (or 518,400 blocks).

Lottery System:

While mining, there is a 1% chance that a block will yield triple the normal reward (e.g., 150 coins per block).

There is also a 0.01% chance (1 in 10,000) that a block will yield 50x the normal reward (e.g., 1,000 coins per block).

This bonus applies for all 12 years of mining.
